Nurses with a SANE Credential must complete at least 5 contact hours of nursing continuing education related to the role of the SANE or  forensi​c nursing between November 1 - October 31 every year.

These ​hours may be applied to the RN's annual 14 contact hour CE requirement.

Completion certificate that includes the following:

1. Nurse's name;
2. Course title (related to SANE);
3. Date of completion;
4. Number of contact hours awarded;
5. Provider information; and
6. Whom the provider is approved by to offer nursing CE.

Providers must be approved by KBN, another state board of nursing, or a national nursing organization.

1. Select +Report CE;
2. Select Begin next to SANE-related continuing education;
3. Report each course individually;
4. Enter the date the course was completed;
5. Enter course information;
6. Attach completion certificate;
7. Select Submit.
