License Validation

​​​​As of March 20, 2023, the Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) has implemented the new Optimal Regulatory Board System, or “ORBS,” a proprietary, cloud-based license management system. All licenses, credentials, and certifications through KBN will now be available for verification through the Board of Nursing License Verification Portal.

Kentucky licensure notifications and reports are NOW AVAILABLE FREE through Nursys e-Notify, a primary source equivalent offered through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. Nursys e-Notify informs institutions if your employed APRNs, RNs or LPNs receive public discipline or alerts from their licensing jurisdiction(s), or if their licenses are expiring.
