Delegation of Medication (Solu-Cortef, Injectable) Administration by Unlicensed Personnel in School Settings
In February 2005, the Board advised that a nurse should not delegate the administration of Solu-Cortef via an injectable route to an unlicensed person in a school setting. In addition, the Board advised that an emergency plan of care should be in place that includes the immediate activation of the Emergency Medical System upon concern that the student may need the injection.
