Role of the LPN in Initial Nursing Assessment of Patients in a Wound and Hyperbaric Outpatient Department

It was the advisory opinion of the Board that it is within the scope of LPN practice, for the LPN who is educationally prepared and clinically competent, to perform assessments under the supervision of a physician or RN by completing the initial assessment forms utilized by the outpatient department.
