Nursing as a Career...

If you are visiting this site, you are obviously thinking about making nursing a part of your future.  This section of the Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) website has been designed to get you started onto that road to a rewarding career in nursing.

KBN has the authority to approve registered nursing and licensed practical nursing programs.  The purpose of this approval is to ensure the program's compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements of prelicensure nursing programs.  In order to operate within the state, a prelicensure nursing program must be approved by KBN.
