Retiring A License

To retire from active practice:

• Complete the online retired license request, and
• Pay the one-time $25 fee

May not have current or pending disciplinary action on any state's nursing license.

Validation of a retired license:

• Indicates that the license has lapsed, and
• The nurse has retired

To receive the KBN Connection after retirement:

• To continue receiving the KBN Connection after retirement, complete the request form.

To return to active practice:

• Meet the requirements for reinstatement.

NOTE:  A retired license does not have to be renewed.

Request a paper application for a fee of $40.  The $40 paper application request fee is in addition to the application fee.
