Licensure of Non-U.S.A. Educated Nurses

VisaScreen® for Kentucky Licensure:

All nurses educated outside of the U.S.A. or educated in Puerto Rico after September 1, 2006, must:

• Complete the VisaScreen® for Kentucky Licensure  process

• Pass or have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX)
  
• Have a valid U.S. social security number before a license will be issued
  
• Meet all other requirements for licensure by examination or licensure by endorsement

Applications and documents are reviewed within 14 days.  However if you respond "Yes" to the disciplinary or conviction questions it can take up to 3 months for processing of your application.
